i know that it has been a while since i last posted and i am sorry. nothing much is going on really. the holiday season is coming upon us and that just means more hours at work. every year in retail gets worse around the holidays. it does not have the same meaning as it used to..... people get ticked off when they have to buy a gift for someone else. i have been cashiering for a little bit here and there when the manager is trying to figure out where he would like me to go next, and people bring baskets piled high with goods for their "loved ones". when you press the total key at the end they get this glazed look on their face and then it starts to turn red and the words holy crap is what usually comes out. then i have to listen to how they can not believe that it came to that much and yada yada yada. the conversation usually ends up with me saying that i did not fill their cart up for them, you got these things because you thought that someone you love would appreciate it. they get the glazed look again and then get out the visa gold card and pay. i plaster on a fake smile and wish them a happy holiday.
good news though lisa and eleno got a new car. a dark blue honda accord. i am sooooooo happy for them. we drove to denver on wed to pick it up. and let me tell you it was a fast trip. we left grand junction at 12pm got there looked the car over took it for a test drive and got something to eat and were home by 9:30 pm.
other news i found out this last week from our landlord that the roommates and i are NOT renewing our lease. this was a little bit of a shock to me since i don't remember being involved in the conversation upon which this decission was made. so i will have to be out before the begining of the year. this does not hurt me in anyway. these girls are my friends but i have decided that they are friends that i should have never lived with, it is good to not know everything about some people. don't get me wrong, i have lived with some people and it has brought us closer (not in a gross way, but as friends). but this is one of those moves that i can say has taught me a lesson.
